The Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) is pleased to announce a new recruitment for an additional academic surgical pathologist and/or cytopathologist. We are inviting applications from qualified candidates at all ranks for a full-time tenure earning/tenured position through the Department of Pathology School of
Medicine.

Required Qualifications

The candidates should have an M.D. (or M.D., Ph.D.), Board Certification in Anatomic
Pathology, and be eligible for license to practice medicine in Alabama.

Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate should have a national reputation in academic pathology and a track record of a competitive basic, translational, and/or clinically focused research program. Subspecialty expertise will be favorably considered.
