Academic Physicians - General Internal Medicine
Salary Range: Assistant Professor: $232,240 - $270,630 per year; Associate Professor: $252,394 - $294,126 per year
The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine, is seeking full-time faculty at the rank of assistant professor or associate professor. Clinical responsibilities include seeing patients in our academic primary care clinic and/or affiliated sites, as well as opportunities to attend on the inpatient general internal medicine teaching service, consult services, and/or other clinical programs. Educational responsibilities will include teaching students from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and residents from the University of Chicago Internal Medicine and Med-Peds residency programs. Scholarly activity can be either self-identified or aligned with established section and departmental interests and priorities. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med/Peds).
