Francis Marion University and the School of Business invite applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Finance. Located in beautiful South Carolina, our university offers faculty members a collegial work environment, excellent work-life balance, and an affordable cost of living.
The successful candidate should have completed all the requirements for the Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB accredited university before joining the faculty. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. A typical teaching load includes nine (9) hours per semester. This is a nine-month contract (with the possibility of summer teaching opportunities). Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching in any of the following areas: introductory and advanced financial management, introductory and advanced investments, financial markets and institutions, and real estate at the undergraduate level as well as applied financial management at the MBA level. The successful candidate will be expected to engage with students, collaborate with local business professionals to enhance experiential learning opportunities, maintain a research agenda including publication in peer reviewed journals, and remain active in service to the university.

Requirements
