Description
The Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS) at Wayne State University (WSU) is seeking candidates for a 12-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Pharmacy Practice Department. The candidate is expected to develop an externally funded research program in Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy. The candidate is expected to become a core member in the Pharmacy Practice Department and establish interdisciplinary internal and external collaborations, contribute to advising and teaching students in the PharmD program, and engage in service to the program, college, university, and profession.

The vision of the Pharmacy Practice Department is to lead the integration of education, research and practice through collaboration and innovation. The Department has 28 faculty members including both tenured/tenure-track and clinical faculty. The Department works with a comprehensive network of outstanding partners including faculty within and outside of WSU community organizations and national and global researchers.

Requirements
Applicants must possess a health professional degree with additional graduate education or post-graduate training (e.g. PharmD with MS or MPH or fellowship) or a PhD with post-graduate research training (e.g., fellowship). Highly desirable qualifications include laboratory-based research experience or public health experience, and an established record of success in peer-reviewed publication, research funding, and leadership commensurate with the candidate’s rank and experience.
