Assistant Vice President of Admissions
Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Services, the Assistant Vice President of Admissions (AVP) is responsible for the strategic leadership, development and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment and admissions plan for freshman, transfer, international and graduate students at Kean University. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing admissions, related operational processes and record-keeping activities for Kean's New Jersey campus locations and Wenzhou-Kean University, in China.
The AVP provides vision, leadership and coordination for all admissions functions and policies. This position guides the overall direction of the University's recruitment efforts in collaboration with campus partners, ensuring alignment with institutional enrollment goals and the University's mission. The AVP is a key member of the Enrollment Services leadership team and participates in division-wide strategic planning and policy development. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours. Employees in the Office of University Admissions are expected to travel to community colleges, high schools or other locations for student recruitment activities and events.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college; a minimum of six years of progressive leadership and management experience in college admissions or enrollment management; and a driver's license valid in New Jersey is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Candidate must have demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive recruitment and enrollment strategies; a proven record in leading teams to achieve enrollment goals; knowledge of enrollment management systems, data analytics and CRM technology (experience with Colleague and Slate preferred); excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills; and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Essential job functions include driving and the ability to lift, handle and transport recruitment materials and equipment over short and long distances. Traveling will require the ability to drive for short and extended periods of time.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for this position is: $135,000 to $150,000. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance.
