Description
The Department of Pediatrics employs nearly 1,000 faculty and staff who work alongside employees of Riley Hospital for Children and students of Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) to make Riley Children's Health Indiana's largest and most skilled pediatric system. Department Specific Responsibilities
- Serves as a program coordinator for the Pediatric Residency Program, including coordination with combined programs.
- Coordinates efforts with a team of program coordinators, administrative staff, faculty, and others to ensure all aspects of training program are successful.
- Serves as a lead team member for key components of resident program, including, but not limited to the following:
- Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) goals and objective maintenance including WebADS, APE, CCC, and PEC.
- American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) coordination of FMLA, ABP Resident Reports, and ITE coordination.
- Curriculum- Visiting Residents, Away Electives, Organization of Professional Development Meetings, and Quality Improvement.
- Administrative duties related to Work hours, Evaluations, Annotated reports, MedHub maintenance, Rotation reports, Gold Card Mangement, etc.
- Provides administrative support to the department, such as managing calendars, answering phone calls, creating routine and confidential correspondence, drafting reports and presentations, and arranging meetings and conferences.
- Schedules rotations and clinic hours for members and may arrange extracurricular activities.
- Counsels current and incoming residents on administrative issues such as scheduling, rotation requirements, benefits, and leave.
- Coordinates activities related to recruitment, including events, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and orientation for candidates.
- Maintains ongoing documentation with respect to accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility.
- Implements program improvement projects from initiation to execution.
- Offers recommendations to improve program administration and/or the overall quality of care.
- Participates in the planning and development of academic and clinical requirements to ensure that all accreditation standards are maintained.

EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
Required
- 4 years experience in administration, office management, or program coordination
- Experience in a clinical or academic setting preferred

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
$48,000 - $53,000. Salary determination is based on a combination of experience, skill level, education, and training.
