Summary

The Clinical Protocol technician assists with the daily operations of several research studies, including clinical trials, under the supervision of a Project Manager or Study Coordinator. Key responsibilities include assisting with recruitment and screening activities, conducting recruitment phone calls and chart reviews for prescreening, scheduling visits, and assisting with the conduct of study-related patient visits. Additionally, the Clinical Protocol Technician will be responsible for abstracting data from electronic health records and entering data into REDCap or other electronic data capture systems, generating reports, and assisting with other tasks as needed.

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Ability to complete detailed assignments by assigned deadlines and to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

• Ability to acquire and maintain all required certifications, such as CITI Training

• Ability to acquire and maintain credentialing at all required healthcare institutions

• Willing to travel occasionally for training and to conduct study activities

• Proficient with Microsoft applications

Required Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma/equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a biological-related field is strongly preferred
• Experience working with patients in research, clinical, or hospital settings is strongly preferred
• Strong familiarity with and ability to follow research clinical protocols are preferred
