Description
DescriptionTulane University's Deming Department of Medicine is seeking a hematologist-oncologist to serve as a Clinician Researcher in Malignant Hematology within the Section of Hematology/Oncology. The successful candidate will contribute to our efforts to expand the Myeloma and Plasma Cell Disorders program, including BMT and Stem Cell therapeutics, ensuring excellence in clinical care, research, and education.
This position is ideal for an ABIM-certified (or eligible) hematologist-oncologist with experience in hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplantation, and/or cellular immunotherapy. The candidate should have a demonstrated interest in clinical trial development, translational research, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications
Required:
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
- BE/BC in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
- Eligible for a Louisiana medical license.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing and implementing clinical trials.
- A record of peer-reviewed publications.
- A record of extramural research funding.
The ideal candidate will be expected to:
- Collaborate with institutional and national partners on clinical trials and grant-funded projects.
- Encourage faculty and fellows to engage in research, publications, and presentations at national and international conferences.
- Pursue research projects that contribute to the understanding and management of hematological disease with the goal of publishing these findings.
