Job DescriptionThe Department of Marketing, Industrial Distribution, and Economics in the Collat School of Business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) invites applications for an open rank (tenure-track or non-tenure-track) faculty position to lead our Business Communications program, starting Fall 2026. We seek an innovative and collaborative individual to shape the strategic direction of the Business Communications curriculum and prepare students to become effective communicators in a business environment increasingly shaped by digital and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree and/or Ph.D. in Communications, Public Relations, English, Management, Marketing, or closely related field.
• At least three years of professional experience in organizational (corporate or non-profit) communications or a related business field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching Business Communications at the undergraduate, graduate, and/or executive education levels.
• Evidence of leadership potential or experience in program development, curricular oversight, or faculty coordination in an academic setting.
