What You Will Do
- Advise the Dean and develop and maintain all annual budgets for the School of Education, Health, and Human Behavior (SEHHB) state appropriations and local accounts.
- Prepare budget projections for mid-year reappraisal and end-of-year spending plans, and administer short and long-term budget analyses for the Dean.
- Guide faculty, Chairs, Assistant and Associate Deans on building and implementing budgets, and develop and monitor summer instructional budgets for departments.
- Prepare budgets, program feasibility analyses, and other financial and personnel reports for the Provost's Office and on behalf of the Dean.
- Serve as the Dean's representative on key financial matters, exercising independent judgment and acting as liaison for the School in University matters.
- Direct and manage the preparation of faculty, staff, and graduate assistant contracts, supervise related staff, and manage the SPA and lecturer memo processes for the School.
- Implement and prepare the Budget Office's Position Control system, train departmental staff and Chairs on fund management and contract preparation, and serve on committees as requested by the Dean.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, accounting, or a field related to the position
- 5+ years experience in accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in business administration, management, accounting, or a field related to the position
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Must be knowledgeable of university, state and federal policies and regulations.
- Must demonstrate a track record of clean audits.
- Strong skills in Excel.
- Familiarity with SIUE personnel policies and collective bargaining agreements.
- Must possess outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work capably and with cultural competence in diverse settings is required.
