Job Description SummaryAs MUSC's Neuroscience program continues to expand, we are looking for strong dedicated people to join our team with a passion to deliver the best possible healthcare for our patients. Our Clinical Neurophysiology Lab proudly comprises five accredited labs including an IOM team, Outpatient EEG team, Inpatient EEG team, EMG team and Neurovascular team.
• Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center
• New Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, world class technology and attending physicians.
• Inpatient EEG Monitoring Rooms staffed 24/7, optimizing diagnostic quality and enabling quick-response patient care.

assist in diagnosing patient's medical conditions of the brain, such as diseases, epilepsy and tumors. They are responsible for operating an EEG machine that records brain waves. They obtain the patient's head measurements, prepare the patient's head for the attachment of electrodes, record the patient's brain activity, observe the findings and generate written reports.
Additional Job Description
Education: A bachelor's degree in a health science; or an associate's degree with board eligibility in one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R. EEG, R. EP, R. NCS) one of which must be board eligibility for a R.EEG. Credentials: Commitment to completion of Registry in EEG within one year of hiring. Must have a Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) and a minimum of 1-year experience in Intraoperative monitoring and perform multi-modality Intraoperative monitoring. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross or Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider certification is required. Must take call. May require working irregular hours under stressful conditions, rotating shifts, and weekends. Employee must possess considerable knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy; ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of complex therapeutic procedures; and ability to make accurate physical observations of patients.
