DescriptionThe John W. Deming Department of Medicine, Section of Endocrinology at Tulane University School of Medicine, is pleased to invite applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This unique opportunity is designed for passionate and dedicated endocrinologist who are eager to contribute to an innovative academic environment in the vibrant city of New Orleans.
Position Highlights:
• Academic Excellence: The position offers a balance of clinical practice, medical education, and scholarly activities in a university-based setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and Endocrinology fellows, fostering the next generation of endocrinologists.
• Comprehensive Clinical Practice: You will provide expert care for a diverse patient population with a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, and other complex conditions. Clinical practice locations span the greater New Orleans area, ensuring a rich and varied caseload.
• Research and Scholarship Opportunities: Candidates with a strong commitment to scholarly pursuits, including quality improvement, health equity, and translational or clinical research, will find abundant support for their initiatives. Opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and access to state-of-the-art resources are readily available. Qualifications
Candidate Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited program.
- Eligible for medical license in the state of Louisiana as well as CDS and DEA.
- Board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
- Demonstrated dedication to medical education and a strong desire to mentor learners at all levels.
- A commitment to scholarship and an interest in advancing health equity and quality care in endocrinology.
- Skill in the understanding of, and sensitivity to, persons of all social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
