The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the appointment stream at the rank of Assistant Professor. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will lead collaborative initiatives across the health sciences focused on sustainability, health equity, and the integration of environmental stewardship into medical and rehabilitation research, education, and practice. This faculty member will also contribute to an NIH-funded national training program that develops the next generation of clinician-scientists in rehabilitation medicine.

Key responsibilities include supporting the advancement of sustainability initiatives across the Schools of the Health Sciences, fostering interprofessional and community partnerships, developing and delivering educational programming, and contributing to federally funded research and training activities.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in education, public health, rehabilitation science, or a related field. Demonstrated skills in program management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and scholarly activity are essential. Prior experience with sustainability, health systems improvement, or rehabilitation research is essential.
