Description
Job Summary:** This is an internal job posting intended for current TCU employees only. **
The Global Training and Consultation Manager is responsible for furthering the strategic vision of the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development (KPICD) by overseeing training and consultation activities in specified regions (domestic and/or international), mentoring and supervising Regional Training and Consultation Specialists, coordinating the KPICD's TBRI Ambassador Network, and working collaboratively with the Associate Director of Training and Consultation to build and lead a high-impact outreach team.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Assists Associate Director of Training and Consultation in building and leading a high impact outreach team by defining objectives and processes, coaching, team-building, and ensuring on-going effectiveness and impact. Ensures that all processes and practices are fair, equitable, and promote anti-racist values.
2. Prepares and leads training courses (both online and in-person); monitors and responds to requests and interactions with trainees.
3. Acts as a consultant to the Institute's valued partners in assigned regions of the US and across the world, ensuring successful dissemination and implemention of TBRI.
4. Teaches, trains, and mentors direct reports in their respective roles and insures that staff have the skills, resources, feedback, and support needed to perform at their full potential.
5. Pursues new domestic and international initiatives to further the KPICD goals, as well as develop new strategies to meet needs of stakeholders, while strengthening relationships with existing ones.
6. Represents the Institute in crucial policy contexts with organizations such as CASA, child welfare agencies, family courts, juvenile justice agencies, and advocacy and stakeholder groups - both domestic and international.
7. Facilitates communication and collaboration among the KPICD's network of TBRI Ambassador Organizations and supports Regional Training and Consultation Specialists in their efforts to support Ambassador-led activities.
8. Works collaboratively with the Resource Development Coordinator to ensure development and implementation of a clear strategy on the production and dissemination of program materials and trainings which may enhance knowledge, understanding, and impact of KPICD work.
9. Oversees and manages training and consultant services components of grant-funded projects, contracts, and private funding.
10. Works with the finance manager to develop and maintain team and project-specific budgets.
11. Stays abreast of and reports on best practices and research in trauma-informed care, consulting, dissemination, and implementation.
12. Designs and executes effective training courses in a variety of KPICD formats (e.g., TBRI Practitioner Training, TBRI Overview, TBRI Implementation, Speaker Requests).
13. Works closely with the other KPICD teams to ensure the alignment of work across teams.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelors in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field of study or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in child welfare or related field.
• 3 years of experience training individuals and organizations in trauma-informed practices and coaching individuals and organizations in the implementation of new practices.
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Masters in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field of study.
• 3 years of experience training on TBRI Principles and Strategies.
• 3 years of experience coaching individuals and organization in the implementation of TBRI.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements.

• Knowledge of child welfare policies and practices, service delivery, judicial oversight, compliance and regulatory standards, funding mechanisms, special education, case management and permanancy planning, especially as they pertain to children and youth wellbeing.
• Knowledge of reunification process; kinship care.
• Knowledge of neurological and behavioral issues involving child development.
• Knowledge of common evidence-based practices as they pertain to child and youth wellbeing.
• Skill in the use of word processing, presentation, and data management software.
• Skill in teaching and effective public speaking.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to support and enhance staff teamwork and interactions.
• Ability to work well with others and be extremely flexible - this position requires continual interaction with individuals from a variety of backgrounds/settings.

• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.

Work Environment:
• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This position requires both domestic and international travel.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
• Both domestic and international travel for project related events occurs throughout the year depending on the needs of the project.
