Summary

A part-time lab research technician position is available immediately to work on the development of biological and clinical database, define and validate data analysis systems, review and maintain data management project documentation, produce status reports for sponsors, and resolve discrepancies in data validation and reports. In addition, they will assist in the grant/paper writing, program design and implementation, compliance and grant reporting. The position will be funded by the NIH and the candidate will have a chance to collaborate with people at Tulane School of Sciences and Engineering, School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and School of Medicine. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good command over written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to work within a team and provide support to the junior staff
• Familiarity with the use of data analysis software

Required Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree and one year of directly related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in using computers with knowledge of software programs and web design/maintenance
• Knowledge of biology and genomics is desirable but not required.
• Experience in scientific paper writing, data analysis and grant management
