Job Description
**$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS**
Tuesday- Friday 7:00am-5:30pm
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Modality XR/CT Technologist to join our radiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, specifically focusing on X-ray (XR) and Computed Tomography (CT) modalities. This role requires a thorough understanding of imaging principles, patient care, and safety protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Diagnostic Imaging Procedures:
- Conduct X-ray and CT scans as prescribed by physicians, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Adjust equipment and controls to set exposure factors, positioning, and imaging techniques.
- Patient Care:
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and answering any questions.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Assist patients in positioning for imaging and provide support as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance and Operation:
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards are met.
- Perform regular quality control checks and troubleshoot any equipment issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the imaging area.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other staff members.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Stay current with continuing education requirements and maintain professional certifications.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Licensure and Certification:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography (R).
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or eligibility to obtain CT certification within a specified timeframe.
- State licensure as required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with proficiency in both XR and CT modalities.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong technical skills in operating imaging equipment and producing diagnostic images.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand for long periods and assist patients in positioning for imaging procedures.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
- Exposure to radiation and infectious diseases, following appropriate safety measures.
