Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, is a young and research-intensive university ranked among the world’s top institutions. Within NTU, CoS is a dynamic hub of research and innovation. It comprises four schools:
Asian School of the Environment (ASE)
School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB)
School of Biological Sciences (SBS)
School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS)
The College is at the forefront of addressing global scientific challenges through cutting-edge research in areas such as life sciences, sustainability, materials science, biotechnology, quantum physics, and environmental science.
About the Nanyang Assistant/Associate Professorship (NAP) Scheme
The NAP scheme offers an exceptional opportunity for outstanding early-career researchers, from Singapore and around the world, to establish themselves as scientific leaders at NTU. Successful applicants will receive a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor appointment, along with a substantial Start-Up Grant (SUG) to build a strong foundation for their research.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be early-career researchers (typically postdoctoral fellows or equivalent), holding a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree obtained within the last 10 years.
- Must demonstrate early achievements and strong potential to lead an independent research programme.
- Open to all scientific disciplines, including but not limited to life sciences, physical sciences, environmental science, chemical engineering, biotechnology, data science, and mathematical modelling.
- Clinician scientists engaged in translational or clinical research are also encouraged to apply.
- Open to both external applicants and existing NTU faculty (Assistant Professors or earlier) who joined within the last 12 months or within 3 years after PhD, whichever comes later. Selected candidates must commit to developing an independent research programme at NTU.
