Job Summary
The Bradford Woods Leadership Team works in partnership with the Assistant Director of Recreation Therapy to oversee all aspects of cabin life at camp.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Cabin Life Coordinator- The Cabin Life Coordinator is an essential member of the Leadership Team (L-Team), working in partnership with the Assistant Director of Recreation Therapy to oversee all aspects of cabin life at camp.
- Responsible for supervising and supporting cabin heads, conducting individual check-in meetings, and assisting with staff training and development.
- Creates weekly cabin assignments for each camp session
- Manages and organizes cabin life paperwork
- Communicates with camper families throughout the check-in process
- Participates in an on-call rotation, serving at least one night per camp session.
- Collaborates closely with other members of the L-Team to ensure a positive and supportive camp environment.
- This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, as well as the ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced camp environment.
 
- Logistics Coordinator- Vital member of the Leadership Team (L-Team), working in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Recreation Therapy to manage the day-to-day operations of camp programming. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all programs and activities are well-planned, organized, and delivered successfully.
- Develops the program schedule for each camp session.
- Supervises and supports program staff, and lead regular program staff meetings.
- Oversees and approves program activity plans.
- Manages meal pack-outs (with attention to dietary needs).
- Communicates with families about programming during the check-in process.
- Responsible for planning and implementing weekly "Challenge Day" activities.
- Participates in an on-call rotation, serving at least 1 night per camp session.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
- Some college
Required
- Previous camp experience
- Bradford Woods camp experience or similar medical camp
- Experience guiding or mentoring youth, with a passion for inspiring growth and development in others
Required
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certifications upon date of hire

- Ability to design engaging, fun, and educational activities that adapt to different age groups and abilities

Working Conditions / Demands
This is an active, hands-on role that requires physical mobility and stamina. This includes frequently moving about the workspace and the ability to occasionally move objects up to 50 pounds. Transfers and team movements may be provided as needed to support camper access and participation. The ability to move and transfer equipment, as well as adapt to a position that is both physically and emotionally engaging.
Positions require working both indoors and outdoors in potentially high or low temperatures with loud noises at times. Some overnight duties are required due to the residential nature of our camps. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
It is a condition of employment that employees live on-site.

During the average week, summer camp staff can expect to put in long, but rewarding hours, which will often include evening shifts. While days will be busy, some flexible time off can be organized with your supervisor to catch up on some well-deserved rest.

Advertised Salary
$500.00 per week
Room and board provided in addition to salary.
Flat weekly rate of pay is prorated for any missed days.
