The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking qualified candidates with an interest in academic medicine, clinical expertise and scholarship to join the non-invasive imaging program within the Blalock-Taussig-Thomas Heart Center. This cardiologist will work primarily at Johns Hopkins Children's Center main campus
The candidate must hold an MD/DO degree (or equivalent), be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric cardiology, and hold or be eligible for a Maryland physician license.
Candidates must have completed residency & fellowship training. Additional training and/or extensive experience in pediatric and congenital non-invasive imaging, and especially fetal cardiology, is required.
Clinical activities will include working in the pediatric cardiology echocardiography laboratory, outpatient clinics, and inpatient rotation. Depending on training and expertise, may also perform and interpret pediatric cardiac MRIs and/or fetal echocardiograms. Travel to outreach clinics located in surrounding community cities maybe required. Clinical activities of this faculty member will be at the full-time instructor/assistant/associate/professor rank based on the experience of the candidate.
Requirements
- MD/DO or foreign equivalent
- Eligible for licensure in Maryland
- BC/BE in Pediatric Cardiology
- 3 years pediatric residency/3years pediatric cardiology fellowship or equivalent
- Significant experience or formal training in pediatric and congenital heart disease non-invasive imaging
