Description
SummaryThe Postdoctoral Fellow applicant will work in conjunction with the Principal Investigator in the development of new approaches for regenerative therapy, based on functional biomaterials and stem cells. Zhen Zhao's lab at Tulane focuses on investigating the fundamental aspects of brain injury and neurodegeneration, and studying new drugs and drug candidates for their potential impact on human brain health.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Knowledge in neuroscience, or aging, or immunology.
2. Strong research skill in developing functional biomaterial and applying it in regenerative medicine.
Required Education and/or Experience
1. PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related science and engineering fields.
2. Research experience with biomaterial and/or regenerative medicine.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in vitro cell assays, or familial in vivo physiological and functional assays.
