Tulane University is welcoming applications for a postdoctoral fellow for the Department of Physiology with a focus related to studying the molecular mechanisms of neurogenetic disorders like Prader-Willi syndrome in cultured patient derived neurons. The candidate will be responsible for projects involving single cell transcriptomics and genetic/epigenetic molecular mechanisms seizure, circadian rhythm and other neurophysiological aspects of the disease. The postdoctoral fellow will supervise and guide students (i.e. undergraduate and graduate levels) and technologists, generate publications; contribute to grants; and collaborate as a team to help with day-to-day operations of the lab.

Qualifications

1. PhD or

2. MD

Preferred:


1. Excellent oral and written communication skills

2. Solid analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.

3. Ability to work independently and demonstrate proficient problem-solving skills

4. At least 2 years lab experience with stem cells.
