Description:
The interdisciplinary Global Health Program, administered by the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, invites outstanding researchers to apply for appointments as Postdoctoral Research Associates. The Postdoctoral Research Associates will collaborate on the academic activities of the Global Health Program, in addition to conducting their own original research. Responsibilities will include providing guidance, advising and leading methodological workshops on students' independent research projects. The Postdoctoral Research Associates may be invited to teach in one of Princeton's undergraduate programs. Any teaching is contingent on sufficient enrollments and must be approved by the Office of the Dean of the Faculty.The term of appointment is based on rank. Positions at the postdoctoral rank are for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding; those hired at more senior ranks may have multi-year appointments. Anticipated start date is August 1, 2026. We seek candidates committed to interdisciplinary research in global health, who innovate methodologically and who demonstrate strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Candidates who are working in various social science or natural science disciplines will be considered.Applicable social science fields include but are not limited to: public policy, anthropology, political science, public health, demography, economics, sociology, global health, political science, social determinants of health. Applicable natural science fields include but are not limited to: epidemiology, disease ecology, environmental health, biostatistics, vaccination.Applicants are required to hold a Ph.D. or expect to receive a Ph.D. degree by the anticipated start date of the appointment. Expected Salary Range: $75,000
The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
