Summary

The Project Assistant is responsible for the front-desk operations for Housing and Residence Life. This position provides front-line customer service and administrative support. This position also supervises student employees.

The Department of Housing and Residence Life (HRL) at Tulane University provides housing, programming, and related services for approximately 4,200 students generating $49 million in annual revenue.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.

• Proficient computer experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.

• Ability to arrive on time and work some evenings and weekends.

Required Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2 years of secretarial or administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Supervision experience.
