Description
We are seeking to hire a SMART4TB TA5 Project Coordinator to help oversee management and coordination of Supporting, Mobilizing, and Accelerating Research for Tuberculosis Elimination (SMART4TB) Consortium, Technical Area 5: Vaccine Readiness.The ideal candidate will be highly organized and comfortable supporting Project Leads/Principal Investigators in tracking project budgets, liaising with partners and key stakeholders, and ensuring the timely completion of project deliverables and reporting. The candidate must have prior experience in supporting research activities broadly, including preparation of IRB submissions materials, developing instruments, assisting with data collection and analysis, and research dissemination and manuscript preparation.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide principal administrative and research support to the Principal Investigator in the administration and implementation of SMART4TB TA5: Vaccine Readiness.
- Implement project strategies and work plans as developed by Project Leads/Principal Investigators (such as maintaining project status sheets and communicating project timelines to the project teams).
- Oversee day-to-day project operations, providing coordination and monitoring of multiple projects.
- Support Project Leads/Principal Investigators and technical staff in coordinating, completing and disseminating project deliverables; developing and managing monitoring and evaluation tools; and tracking relevant project metrics.
- Complete formal and informal reports (including drafting progress reports) to funders and stakeholders by compiling information/updates, drafting and facilitating review of documents, and ensuring timely submission of deliverables.
- Work with investigators to develop and update protocols, SOPs, and IRB submissions.
- Assist in drafting reports, manuscripts, and other dissemination materials.
- Participate in regular project team meetings and conference calls with partners and funder(s) and facilitate meetings as needed.
- Plan and facilitate project team meetings/retreats and external workshops, meetings, including agenda development, coordination, minute-taking, and assigning project tasks.
- As needed, support team in developing proposals or other documentation for new or continued funding and coordinating with internal and external partners for new funding.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five years of related experience in managing projects, preferably in public health, medicine, or related research field is required.
- Additional education can substitute for experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree (preferably in public health, epidemiology, or related field)
- Three to five years of experience preferred.
- Experience supervising students.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience scheduling meeting, taking detailed meeting notes.
- Experience developing and maintaining project status sheets a plus.
- Experience with writing manuscripts and managing the submission process to academic journals.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Use basic graphic design skills to present and disseminate project materials to internal and external audience.
- Ability to work with flexibility on several tasks simultaneously and to meet various concurrent deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to details, analytical and problem-solving ability.

Starting Salary Range: $48,000 - $84,100 Annually (Commensurate with experience)
