Location: Albany, NY Category: Faculty Job Type: Part-time Posted On: Fri Jul 10 2026 Job Description:The Massry School of Business is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach (1) section of BBUS 310 (Business Communications) during the fall 2026 semester. Course details are below.
- BBUS 310 (Business Communications) - 1 credit
- Modality: Online-Synchronous
- Meeting Day/Time: Fridays from 11:40 AM -12:35 PM
- Semester Length: 8/24/26-12/7/26
- Enrollment: Approximately 80 students
This foundational 1 credit course is required for all Business Administration and Accounting majors and is generally completed in the junior or senior year. It is designed to cover the theory, principles, and practices of effective written communications including reports, memos, letters and electronic communication.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver course content that covers the fundamental principles of business communication.
- Engage students through lectures, discussions, and the University's Learning Management System, Brightspace.
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and/or participation.
- Provide guidance and support to students regarding career opportunities in business.
- Maintain office hours to assist students with course-related inquiries.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years' professional experience in business and/or communications.
- Previous teaching experience at the college level is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
Additional Information:
Professional Rank and Salary Range: Adjunct Instructor, $2,000 for the 1-credit course
