About the Opportunity:
The Department invites applications from highly motivated candidates for a Full-time (52-week appointment) non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor with an anticipated start date of July 2026, or until the position is filled.
This position will be campus-based with an emphasis in integrated skills-focused lab instruction including simulation and interprofessional education and is not affiliated with an appointment at an external clinical site.
Responsibilities:
This position will oversee educational aspects of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree programs’ pharmacy practice labs. The faculty member will work closely with the School’s Office of Academic Affairs and Assessment, the College’s Assistant Dean of Clinical Skills and Simulation Education, and department faculty to develop the skills of pharmacy students in the PharmD curriculum in accordance with accreditation standards.
The faculty member would be responsible for incorporating innovative pedagogical methods of teaching and learning; developing and providing authentic assessment and feedback; and collaborating on and facilitating interprofessional education opportunities within the Bouvé College of Health Sciences, Northeastern University, and surrounding Boston-area institutions. The faculty member would additionally participate in the oversight of the operational aspects of the laboratory.
The faculty member would also provide didactic teaching, participate in service to the department and school, and engage in scholarship of teaching and learning. Requirements
Qualifications:
Terminal degree in Pharmacy or related field
Licensed to practice pharmacy in Massachusetts by appointment start date
Evidence of teaching excellence and commitment to supporting students
Candidates with expertise in high-fidelity simulation, interprofessional, and experiential educational models are strongly encouraged to apply.
Additional expertise in artificial intelligence, data analytics, operations management including course coordination/teaching within lab, and pharmacy leadership is welcomed.
Candidates seeking appointment at the Associate level should have a minimum of 5 years of academic or related experience with evidence of leadership and scholarly output.
