Position Description:
The University of Louisville School of Music seeks an outstanding candidate to serve as Lecturer in Voice to begin by August 10, 2026.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic teacher to lead a full studio of predominantly undergraduate students pursuing majors in Bachelor of Arts (General), Bachelor of Arts (Music and New Media), and Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy.
The successful candidate will also coordinate with the Area Coordinator regarding any additional studio classes, entrance auditions, and final jury examinations.
This lecturer position will also teach our lyric Diction courses covering introduction to IPA, English, Italian, German and French diction.
Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach and mentor a studio of undergraduate voice students.
- Teach Lyric Diction with emphasis on introduction to IPA, English, Italian, German, and French.
- Participate in juries, recitals for your applied students, and other departmental activities to be discussed with Area Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in voice
- Demonstrated success teaching applied voice.
- Accomplished performer of classical vocal repertoire
