Position Details:
The Physician Associate Program in the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences occasionally has openings for part-time temporary adjunct instructors. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in the Physician Associate Program would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises. These include foundational courses in the Physician Associate Program such as Clinical Anatomy, Clinical Physiology and Pathophysiology, and Biomedical Sciences.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in physician assistant studies, medicine, anatomy, physiology, biology, biochemistry, or a closely related health science field.
- If a healthcare professional, must have a current license and/or certification
- Minimum of two years of prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level or higher
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong written and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in the above health science fields
- Prior experience teaching at the graduate or health professions level
- Clinical background in a field that directly applies anatomical or physiological knowledge

The Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences consists of programs that prepare future health care and human services professionals. The academic units within Harris College - Applied Health Sciences, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology, Nurse Anesthesia, Nursing, and Social Work - are home to 1,900 students who are supported by committed and talented faculty and staff. Harris College offers 20 degree pathways in our health-related disciplines. On campus, the Miller Speech & Hearing Clinic provides services for more than 300 families each year and serves as a professional practice site for students majoring in speech pathology and habilitation of the deaf. TCU Nursing and the School of Nurse Anesthesia provide innovative learning experiences in their state-of-the-art simulation centers.
The faculty and students at Harris College actively engage in research for the purpose of improving health and well-being.
