Description
The Carey Business School Office of Admissions is seeking a Sr. Admissions Coordinator responsible for managing inbound communication, conducting outbound outreach via targeted call campaigns, and fostering top-of-funnel relationships with prospective students. This role serves as the internal liaison from the Carey Business School Office of Admissions to external partner(s) conducting initial outreach to prospective students. The role ensures daily partner operations align with organizational goals, service expectations, and performance metrics. Working closely with the Admissions Leadership Team, this role collaborates with internal stakeholders in Marketing and Academic Programs along with vendors to implement best practices, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure effective communication, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.The Sr. Admissions Coordinator plays a key role by helping to drive information and build relationships with prospective students. This position has broad knowledge of academic programs and admissions procedures and works with prospective students to understand their needs and interests in support of overall enrollment goals.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish new relationships, maintain and grow existing relationships with prospective students by listening and providing appropriate program and degree information, recommendations, and direction.
- Guide students, through knowledge and understanding of academic program offerings, how academic programs may complement or fill identified gaps in the students' knowledge or experience and help them achieve career aspirations.
- Collaborate with the admissions recruitment, enrollment, and operations teams to execute on a business plan and optimal contact strategy for top priorities.
- Transition key inquiries to HR or recruitment team for follow up.
- Actively participate in ongoing training to increase knowledge of academic resources and communication skills with various communication platforms.
- Maintain accurate, complete records of contacts with prospects through use of CRM (training provided).
- Serve as a liaison to all operational and service issues, working with internal partners to help successfully resolve appropriate issues.

In addition to the duties described above
- Primary responsibility for Admissions email inbox management and replies.
- Primary responsibility for handling inbound calls and replying to voice inquiries.
- Monitor performance reporting for internal and external outreach efforts.
- Support enrollment operations during peak periods with application processing or other duties.
- Prepare summary presentations on outreach performance for team and leadership briefings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- One to four years of experience working in a contact center and/or front line in a consultative sales environment.
- Proficiency in basic data management systems and computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint); willingness and ability to learn additional applications as needed.
- High level of proven exceptional customer service.
- Ability to communicate across diverse populations.
