Position Overview:
The Technology Office Senior Manager/Associate Director, Strategic Innovation Enablement is a crucial position for the success of Life Science Strategic Partnership with KAIST (Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), strengthening local position in Korea and expanding academic partnerships in APAC.
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic-minded young professional to drive interdisciplinary initiatives and projects within the KAIST Partnership and serve as a local CTO Champion in Korea and APAC. As a Talent Development Program Officer within the KAIST partnership, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to multidimensional talent development programs ideation, design, and implementation. Moreover, you will actively support other pillars of the Partnership such as Research Partnership, Experience Lab and others. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional local and global teams, external partners and senior management, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to drive long-term success and achieve strategic goals.
Your Role:
- Managing KAIST related activities ensuring alignment between global and local, internal and external stakeholders, tracking metrics and KPIs and creating performance update reports. Acting as a local partnership owner constantly seizing new opportunities to expand the collaboration.
- Leading a Program Office for Talent Development Programs (graduate fellowships, professor awards, etc.). This includes administration of application and selection processes, coordination between internal stakeholders and professors, organization of oral presentation sessions and award ceremonies, communication to applicants, fellowship/award operations (contract, terms and conditions, legal review, payment, etc.), marketing support, implementation and x-organizational coordination of new programs e.g., internships
- Supporting organization of KAIST events such as scientific workshops, seminars, webinars, demo sessions, visits of senior leadership, etc., (development of agenda, stakeholders' management, supporting events' related logistics, development of briefing materials etc.).
- Supporting development of training modules for customers and academics.
- Supporting set-up, Capex management and operation of the other facilities at KAIST including Experience and Application Lab, Bio, Lab and Chemistry Hub and other potentially established in the future. Coordinating collaboration with global teams to maximize the value of these facilities.
- Supporting activities of local Commercial team including customer outreach, marketing, etc.
- Acting as CTO and innovation champion in Korea and APAC, supporting expansion of academic partnerships and commnucity engagement activities such as SPARK initiatives, etc.
- Managing tasks ensuring timely execution within the scope and meeting highest quality standards.
- Communicating in a timely and effective manner with global internal teams and external stakeholders (students, academic collaborators and customers).
Who you are:
- At least Bachelors' degree (Engineering, Business, Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics or related sciences). Master's degree and/or demonstrated interest in business through coursework, professional experience, or internships is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of and experience in Life Science Industry
- Proven track of record of implanting new programs
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary and agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional global teams.
- Strong command of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-motivated mindset with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaborations.
- Fluent in Korean and English.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
