The Department of Psychology seeks to hire two Visiting Assistant Professors for 2026-27 Academic year for their online education program. The discipline is open. This is a one-year temporary appointment, with possible extensions up to one additional year, subject to successful review and university approval. The Visiting Assistant Professor will teach three undergraduate psychology courses per semester, as assigned by the Department Chair. Courses may include Introductory Statistics, Introduction to Psychology, and advanced courses. The candidate will be expected to teach asynchronous online courses, although in-person courses may be available for local candidates.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Three courses per semester, for a total of six courses during the academic year.
- Service: University, College, Department Service, and other reasonable duties as assigned.
Functional and Supervisory Relationships:
- Reports to: Department Chair
- May supervise employees as assigned

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree or terminal degree in psychology or closely related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally accrediting organization by 8/21/2026.
- Experience teaching at the college or university level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching Introduction to Psychology and undergraduate statistics.
- Experience teaching online asynchronous courses.
Working Environment:
- Typical office, classroom environment.
