Bowdoin College’s Department of Chemistry invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible visiting assistant professor position for the 2026-2027 academic year. The appointment is for one year and begins as soon as possible and no later than August 3, 2026. Reappointment for a second year is possible, contingent on curricular needs and successful review of teaching. The teaching load is two undergraduate courses per semester including introductory courses and organic chemistry. The subfield is open; we are especially interested in candidates specializing in organic chemistry. A PhD in Chemistry or a related field is expected by the date of appointment.
